    I can’t believe that summer is winding down… its been fun, its been crazy… but I have to admit I’m looking forward to school starting back up and the family getting back on the regular routine. Smile  Can anyone relate?

    Over the last few weeks, we’ve had so much going on that I haven’t done a lot of creating and thus the blog got a bit neglected.  But finally over the last week, I’ve started finding my way back into my craft room and after some time spent CASE’ing some great cards I feel like the mojo is coming back!  Here is some of what I’ll be photographing for the blog today:

  • The Fall/Winter Class Schedule Is Here!

    I know some folks have been waiting for my Fall and Winter class schedule to be posted and I finally have it all up and ready for you to RSVP for your favorites! 🙂

    I suddenly realized that I hadn’t shared with you all the latest promotion from Stampin’ Up!  I don’t know about you, but I am always one for a deal and so I had to be sure you all knew about the latest deal from SU.  From now until April 30th, every $40 you spend from the new Occasions Mini catalog earns you free stamps!  How awesome is that.  I love it when I can get cool free stuff just for buying what I want anyway.  🙂  In this case, you have your choice of any of the under $10 stamps in the back of the catalog or one of the under $10 mini note kits.  I think those are definitely the best deal because you get stamps, note cards, envelopes, AND an ink spot… all Free!  If you host a workshop, every $150 worth of orders gets you another free stamp or note kit.  That could add up to a lot of free stuff. 🙂 So, here are the pretty pictures and details:

    BigShot Night – April 7th 7pm.  The first Tuesday of each month I host a technique night.  This month we will playing with the BigShot die cutting machine.  The BigShot can cut out over 50 different types of materials in fun shapes plus create embossed patterns and textures on your standard paper and cardstock.  Try it out and make a couple projects and samples.  RSVP with your $5 supply fee.

     

    Glass Etching with the BigShot – April 19th   2pm.  Create beautiful etched glass items from your home quickly and easily using the BigShot.  We will be using the BigShot to cut out the shapes that will then be etched on to your own glass.  I’ll provide all the supplies including a glass.  RSVP with your $10 supply fee by April 15th.

     

    Card Night – April 27th  6:30 pm.  Whether you are a card making pro or just starting out, come join us for laughter and fun as we make 4 cards using different stamps and fun embellishments. RSVP with your $8 supply fee by April 23rd.

  • If you are in the Portland area and want to come play…

    Just thought I would invite you all to come to some of my upcoming classes if you are in or from the Portland,OR area. 

    Its a Card Party! – January 17th at 2pm
    The hubby will be out of town, so it seems like a perfect time to host a get together.  We will be making 3-4 cards and a container to hold them.  Each card will be different and good general purpose cards to use throughout the year (birthday, thank you, etc).  Since I have all day, you are welcome to stay later and use my punches, stamps, and ink for any of your personal projects.  Cost $10
     
    Technique Night- January 22nd at 7pm
    With the holidays and everyone traveling, we didn’t have a technique night early in January, so I’m holding a make-up session late this month.  Plus, the new Spring and Summer Idea book is coming out on January 19th, so you will get to see and play with some of the new items.  We will be using Crystal Effects (a glossy lacquer) and making a couple small projects/embellishments to see some different ways to use it for both scrapbooking and card making.  Cost $5
     
    Open Scrap – February 7th at 1pm
    I’m so behind on my scrapbooking projects that I’m going to have a day of just an open table to come, bring your project, and feel free to use my inks, stamps, and punches. Those of you interested in scrapbooking, I will have a 2 page layout project available. So, come and hang out for a laid back afternoon. 🙂
