Look up to Father is one of those stamps that when I saw it in the Occasions Catalog, I knew I just HAD-TO-HAVE it! I loved the sentiment (“A Father is someone to look up to no matter how tall you’ve grown”) and knew I wanted to make a card for my Dad with it. So, I got it in one of my very first orders, and promptly mounted it and put it on my shelf…
where it sat for a long time. So, now is my first time inking it up and I LOVE it!
I created this card for my Stamp Club to (1) give them a masculine card and (2) remind us all to use our designer papers! Because I KNOW I’m not the only one who loves their paper and then tries to only use the teensiest tiniest piece on your projects to conserve.
I colored the Look Up To Father stamp using my markers before stamping… I used Gumball Green for the leaves and grass, Soft Suede for the trunk, and Early Espresso for the sentiment.
It was also another chance to use the Hardwood stamp set… so glad it will be sticking around for a while. Sadly that is about the only part of this card (aside from the cardstock) that will be sticking around after the 1st of June!
