What a great weekend! The weather was great, and the company was fantastic. We had a small group of ladies come over for a mega-holiday card making event. I am always so impressed to see the creativity that comes out of peoples at these events! We had a bit of a late start and so…
So, Saturday is the holiday stamp-a-stack and I have been working on creating samples for some of my sketches. Last night, I was planning on getting them all done, but then I remembered I needed to finish glueing together the cardfronts for a card swap I’m in, so while I got all 11 of those…
After 5 fun days, my mom just left town last night. We spent pretty much every night crafting – trying new techniques, making projects, and making cards. So, I didn’t have much time to post to my blog (sorry!) but I did come away with a few neat things to show you! Over the next…
Last night I started playing with my word window punch some more and one of the ideas I had was to create a flower using punches. This quickly turned into a card challenge to myself to see if I could make an interesting card that was almost entirely based on punches instead of stamps. It…
Yesterday I was asked by someone about ideas for different ways the word window punch could be used. Now, one thing I love about paper punches is that they tend to be pretty versitile and the word window is no exception. As I started brainstorming all the ways I’ve seen this punch used and new…
This weekend I went to Bellingham, WA to visit my mom and attend her Christmas card stamp-a-stack. We made 3 cards each of four different designs using some of the new holiday stamps from Stampin’ Up! It ended up being a mother/daughter event with two other mother/daughter pairs plus a couple more ladies joining us. It was…
As promised, here are the samples for the event tomorrow. I actually made three and then picked two to cut materials for. Maybe I’ll do the extra card at a workshop in the future. 🙂 Card 1 Recipe: Stamps: Happiness Always Hostess set Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point Paper: Basic Black CS, Kiwi Kiss CS, Whisper…
So, I’ve been spending the day stamping and cardmaking in honor of World Cardmaking Day. I’m visiting with my mom today for her Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We made 4 different card styles (3 each) and they were pretty cute. I also made a couple samples for the World Cardmaking Day open house tomorrow. I’ll be posting…
Finally, after the long move to Portland I am here and have gotten my computer back up and connected to the internet. Yay! I’m still unpacking all of my craft room stuff but I can’t wait to get my hands on my stampin stuff. I’ll have to get cracking because this weekend is my first…
Here is another Christmas card I put together trying to use just a few pieces. The layout is not too complex but I just love how it turned out. The hardest thing about this card was making the bell gold and still have the bell’s ribbon red. I didn’t have a gold marker, so I…
Next month I will be starting my Christmas card stack classes where you can add a personal touch to your holiday greetings by making your own christmas cards. In anticipation of this class, I’ve started trying out some different christmas designs. This was a very quick and simple card that gave me a chance to…
So, I had a card that I really wanted to case that used many of the same elements as my card below. However, that card was pink and black and I’ve found that most of the examples I’ve been drawn to lately are pink and brown or black. So, I thought that I would try…
