  • Getting Ready for a Card Bonanza!

I stayed up last night to start sorting out my card kits for my upcoming Card Bonanza this weekend.  On Saturday, I’m hosting the event at my house and it is an All-You-Can-Stamp crafting event!

I was shocked to discover that I have over 130 card kits ready to go based on over 50 card designs!  See, this event is what I do to use up all my extra card kits left over from my technique nights, card classes, swaps, and events.  I deeply discount the kits and invite everyone over to make as many cards as they want.

    Here is the scoop:

    • Come and stamp for only $1.50/card
    • Come and stamp as many cards as you want for $10  (you just have to let me know when you get started)
    • Pick up a premade card with envelope from my big stash for only $2

    Can’t attend in person?

    • Get a set of 5 card kits for $11 mailed to you to make at home
(note – due to Stampin’ Up policy, kits will not include stamped images, but they will include all paper and accessories precut and portioned)

Either way, that is WAY LESS than Hallmark for some really fun and cute cards!

Here is a small sample of some of the cards available to make:

    Fun, right?!

So, check your calendar and if you are free this Saturday (2/22) between 1pm- 5pm, let me know and plan on coming over for this fun event!  RSVP here

Can’t attend in person but would love some kits?  Email me at jennifer@nwstamper.com or order here and I’ll get you hooked up with some cute card kits!

Card Kit Grab Bag – 5 card kits shipped w/in the US for ONLY $11!

Now I’m off to finish pulling all the supplies needed for all the different cards – that is going to take me a while! But it will be fun and I can’t wait to see everyone creating on Saturday.

  • Merry Little Christmas for a Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

Coming up on Thursday I have a Holiday Card stamp-a-stack planned where everyone is going to make up to 4 different designs of cards including this one:

I was going for something that was easy to make a lot of without taking a ton of time or wearing out your arm, and this is one of the designs that came about.

I loved the snowy/foggy forest look I got by stamping with Basic Grey ink and then re-stamping the tree (of course, from the amazing Lovely as a Tree), before I inked again.  And by having the trees stamped on a separate piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I didn’t have to worry about what happened to the bottoms of the trees!

Add some stitched grosgrain ribbon around the Very Vanilla layer for a pop of color and color in the sentiment with markers and you get just the right balance of color and snowy day. Smile

    Stampin’ Up! Supplies Used
Stamps – Lovely as a Tree, Merry Little Christmas
Ink – Basic Grey, Basic Black marker, Real Red marker, Gumball Green marker
Paper – Very Vanilla, Basic Black
Accessories – Real Red stitched grosgrain ribbon

Want to make some Christmas cards?

Join me on Thursday (10/24/2013) for a night of stamping in Redmond, WA.  We’ll be making these cards plus one more super cute snowflake sparkle card!

Can’t make it in person, I offer kits as well!  Email me at jennifer@nwstamper and I’ll get you all set up!

  • Simply Soft Elegant Mother’s Day Card

I keep forgetting Mother’s Day is this weekend!  Thankfully, I ran a class last week specifically for creating Mother’s Day cards, so now I have a stash that I can use this weekend since I’m sure I’ll forget again and think I have a couple weeks. 🙂  Today I thought I’d share one of my favorite cards from the class using the Simply Soft hostess set.  I like that it looks simple yet elegant:

This is also one of the cards that went out this month in my Cards To Go program, so hopefully some folks are getting good use out of this design for Mother’s Day too!

To create the banner points at the end of the sentiment, I used the Pennant Punch punching technique I described in this blog post.  I love it!

Finally, I added a bit of fun to this class by creating coordinated envelopes to go with the cards.  In this case we stamped the outline shape on the front of the envelope and then did the colored flower heads on the back flap of the envelope back of hostess mothers day card envelope

I don’t know why I always forget to stamp my envelopes… but when you have Whisper White envelopes from Stampin’ Up! its almost a waste not to stamp on them since the paper is explicitly made to be excellent to stamp on.

I’m thinking this is going to go to my Grandma…another elegant lady in my life. 🙂
