Happy Valentine’s Day! I am running so far behind but I wanted to make sure to get this post up for you… not just because I have a special Valentine’s Day Promotion at the end of the post! But I also love this technique – it was one of the designer paper techinques from January’s Terrific Techniques class and I thought you might all enjoy it too.

Spotlight Collage Technique with Inside the Lines Paper
Hello! I’m back to share with you a fun and easy card that shows a neat Spotlight technique. So, if you’ve seen the spotlight technique before, it is the idea of having a larger black and white area – usually filled in with line art images – and then coloring in just a little bit of the area to make that spotlighted area POP! Well, in this case, the Inside the Lines designer paper (**free through the end of March with a $50 order) makes it super simple for you! This paper pack is all about the current coloring book trend and gives you 12×12 sheets of paper just begging for you to color them in.
Which brings us back to this technique, I just started with one big piece of the patterned paper and then I cut it into 3 parts. You can size these however you want, I just recommend: (more…)

A Chic Just For You Card with the Falling in Love Suite
Do you remember the Bokeh technique? The big trend for making your cards look like they had the out of focus light spots? Well, I shared how to make your own in this blog post, but sometimes I want to go the quick route and just use pretty paper like this Falling in Love designer paper! It has a bunch of cute patterns including multiple bokeh photo-realistic designs! (You can see all the prints in my Occasions Catalog walkthrough video starting at 26 mins HERE)
Party Animal Suite Festive Birthday Pop-Up Card
Ready for something new? How about a fun pop-up birthday card?!
The new Stampin’ Up Occasions Catalog has a lot of fun Suites, and if you like bright colors and birthday supplies that are great for kids or masculine cards, then the Party Animal suite is your place to be.
I got to play with this fun Balloons Pop Up Thinlit die during the OnStage convention in November and we made this fun card. It does all the cutting and scoring for you, so you get to have the fun of figuring out how to decorate all the little details. Check it out:
New Project Ideas and 2017 Occasions Catalog Product Samplers!
The new year is here and I’m trying to get back into my blogging groove. I had my first card class of the year last night, and it was such a blast to hang out with a bunch of fun ladies and stamp and gab and get just a little bit silly!
So, while I work on photographing the new project ideas, I still wanted to share some great inspiration for the new year. Plus make sure to scroll down to check out my new 2017 Product Samplers!
And We’re Back! The Occasions Catalog is Here!
After all the hubbub and technical issues this morning, I just wanted to hop over to say everything is back and ready to go! WOO HOO!
Head over to the Stampin’ Up Online Store and shop away!
And, now that I’m able to get into the demonstrator side of the website, I have January’s Hostess Code for you to use when ordering too!
January’s Reward’s Code – 9PKRDX7F
Use this code when ordering for extra perks from me like the free Premium Tutorial pack with your $50+ order in addition to the Sale-a-Bration goodies! Enter this code in the “Hostess Code” box on the bottom of the online shopping cart page when you are checking out, and I’ll know to add you to the perks list!
If your order is $150 or more, don’t use the code (gotta get you those hostess benefits!) and don’t worry, you’ll still get the perks from me!
Are You Ready! It’s Sale-a-Bration Time!
Well, today is an exciting day, but it started off with a bit of a big BANG! That sound was the sound of all of Stampin’ Up’s servers crashing meaning not only could I not get my launch day order in, but I can’t even call in and chat with the fabulous demonstrator support folks. But, while we wait for the servers to come back up – don’t worry I’ll post here and on my Facebook page when they are back – I can still share a couple project ideas and the catalogs so you can work on your wishlists and make sure you’ve gotten all your favorites down and ready to go.
Like check out this super sweet Sending Love suite that is perfect for all your love notes and special valentine’s treats!
Paper Piecing with the Detailed Santa Thinlit for Christmas
Oh my goodness people! We are officially less than 10 days until Christmas!!! I was thinking I had all my shopping done and was totally on track for the holiday and the kids to be out of school for 2 1/2 weeks…..
NOPE!
I remembered some gifts I still need to get, my Christmas cards need to go in the mail, and I’m still cramming for the kids joint birthday party tomorrow instead of doing last minute prep before chaos descends on the house.
And while I could spend Sunday trying to get caught up, its my birthday and I told my family that what I want to do for my birthday is to sit in my craft room and play! I’m going to catch up on some scrapbooking, play with my new preorder stamps, and generally ignore chores and responsibilities for one day!
But while I’m madly making cookies and party cupcakes today, I thought I’d share this fun card.
