  • A Simple Day of Gratitude Card Share

A little over a week ago, I hosted my monthly “meet & greet” and as with each month, I brought a free make & take card.  This month, I decided to use the fabulous Day of Gratitude set, which thanks to regionals in Portland, I am love more and more each time I use it.

Anyway, I got home and put all my supplies away and managed to hide the card from myself for over a week until today!  Well, I found the card and really like how it turned out and so I wanted to share it with you here.

This stamp set begs to be used with Cajun Craze and More Mustard inks, both of which have not been my favorite colors.  But I have to say, Cajun Craze has really grown on me!  It is the perfect color for using in fall scrapbook layouts and cards.

For some added kick, the Decorative Label punch out is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Otherwise, it is a quick and easy card that looks great in person.  We stamped the strip of Very Vanilla cardstock randomly using the images from the Day of Gratitude stamp set in the colors More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Early Espresso.  Its like making your very own Designer Paper!  The medallion is stamped in Old Olive ink on Old Olive cardstock.

In the San Francisco Bay area? I’d love to have you join me for my next event!  Check out my event calendar or contact me for more details!

    Until next time- Happy Stamping!

  • Upcoming Classes and Events

Now that I’m a bit more settled after my move to Portland, I’m starting up some classes and events.  These events are a great way to unleash your creativity and learn a new technique or two.  I hope you can join me!

    Holiday Stamp-a-Stack – October 25th
Ease some of the stress of the holidays by getting your holiday cards done early.  Provide a personal touch by making the cards yourself with our holiday stamp-a-stack.  We will be making 20 cards – 4 each of 5 different designs.  By the end of the afternoon, you will have a great set of cards and all you will need is the stamp.  All supplies will be provided.  RSVP required.

    Technique TuesdaysNovember 4th
The first tuesday of each month, I will be offering a technique class.  We will focus on learning a new technique and creating a couple small projects using this technique.  These evenings will offer you a chance to take a bit more time to experiment with different tools and techniques without feeling the pressure to get lots done.  I will announce the technique for the next class at the end of the month prior.  So, later this month I’ll announce the featured technique for November.

    Thank You Note Stamp-a-Stack – November 22th
During the whirlwind time of the holidays, lots of presents are exchanged which means thank you notes are in order.  Be prepared before it all begins with a stack of handmade thank you cards.  We will be making 16 cards – 4 each of 4 different designs.  All supplies will be provided. RSVP required.

As always, I’m happy to schedule a workshop for you and your friends.  I am also considering scheduling a holiday decor class or a holiday gift class.  With the holiday decor class, we would be making ornaments and other decorations for around your home.  With the holiday gift class, we would be making crafty items to give as gifts such as exploding photo boxes, gift bags and boxes, decorated frames, etc.  If you are interested in participating in either of these holiday classes, let me know and if there is enough interest I will schedule a class.

Check out my calendar online for all the details!

  • Coming soon – samples for the World Cardmaking Day event

So, I’ve been spending the day stamping and cardmaking in honor of World Cardmaking Day.  I’m visiting with my mom today for her Christmas Stamp-a-Stack.  We made 4 different card styles (3 each) and they were pretty cute.  I also made a couple samples for the World Cardmaking Day open house tomorrow.  I’ll be posting pictures of the cards we are making tomorrow later this evening and will post my Christmas cards soon after.

    See you soon!

  • World Cardmaking Day Event

Finally, after the long move to Portland I am here and have gotten my computer back up and connected to the internet.  Yay!  I’m still unpacking all of my craft room stuff but I can’t wait to get my hands on my stampin stuff.  I’ll have to get cracking because this weekend is my first Stampin’ Up! event here in Portland.

World Cardmaking Day is a day for us to remember how nice it is to receive personalized notes from friends and family, and so take some time out to have fun creating cards to share.  So, to get you in the card making spirit, I’m hosting an Open House at my place Sunday Oct 5th.  This is a free event to stop by, enjoy some fun people, snack on some treats, and make a couple of free cards!  Plus, there will even be a door prize just to keep things hopping.  🙂

And if that wasn’t enough, Stampin’ Up! is even offering a special just for World Cardmaking Day!  From Oct 4-11, order any Simply Sent Card kit or Card Elements kit for 20% off.  These kits give you pretty much everything you need to make 10-12 cards quickly and easily.  Its a great way to keep the creative juices rolling and let someone you care about know you are thinking of them.

Stop by my website or email me at stampingwithjennifer@gmail.com to get more details on the World Cardmaking Day event or to order your card kit during this special week!
