So, I’ve been spending the day stamping and cardmaking in honor of World Cardmaking Day. I’m visiting with my mom today for her Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We made 4 different card styles (3 each) and they were pretty cute. I also made a couple samples for the World Cardmaking Day open house tomorrow. I’ll be posting pictures of the cards we are making tomorrow later this evening and will post my Christmas cards soon after. See you soon!
Finally, after the long move to Portland I am here and have gotten my computer back up and connected to the internet. Yay! I’m still unpacking all of my craft room stuff but I can’t wait to get my hands on my stampin stuff. I’ll have to get cracking because this weekend is my first Stampin’ Up! event here in Portland. World Cardmaking Day is a day for us to remember how nice it is to receive personalized notes from friends and family, and so take some time out to have fun creating cards to share. So, to get you … Read More
Here is another Christmas card I put together trying to use just a few pieces. The layout is not too complex but I just love how it turned out. The hardest thing about this card was making the bell gold and still have the bell’s ribbon red. I didn’t have a gold marker, so I cut a small circle out of an index card and used that to mask the Jingle all the Way stamp except for the bell. Then I inked it up with my gold Encore inkpad and removed the index card. At that point, I could go to … Read More
Next month I will be starting my Christmas card stack classes where you can add a personal touch to your holiday greetings by making your own christmas cards. In anticipation of this class, I’ve started trying out some different christmas designs. This was a very quick and simple card that gave me a chance to break out some of my new ribbon and complete a card with minimal supplies needed. Recipe: Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Sincere Salutations Ink: Chocolate chip Paper: Kiwi Kiss CS, Whisper White CS, Bella Rose DSP Accessories: Ridinghood Red Taffeta ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals … Read More

For the first time, Stampin’ Up! has offered a 15% discount on brand new stamps when they first came out. One of the stamps on sale was Pocket Silhouettes and when I saw them, I thought they would be so versatile and I had to take advantage of the sale. Since it was one of the sets I kept out of the moving boxes, I decided to try them out on a couple cards. Both of these cards were simple designs and the vintage violet card was designed by accident. 🙂 I was trying to figure out what kind of design to make … Read More
So, I had a card that I really wanted to case that used many of the same elements as my card below. However, that card was pink and black and I’ve found that most of the examples I’ve been drawn to lately are pink and brown or black. So, I thought that I would try out the new In Color blues instead of pink. They are really nice blues and go well together, but once I started stamping, I thought it got a bit busy and I had cut some of the pieces bigger than I thought so it was … Read More
